Mary Smallwood was born in September, 1865 in Iowa.  She died about 1935 in Portland, Oregon. She married James Robert Cook and they had seven children.  The oldest son, William Earl, died at the age of 24 of an appendicitis attack. Their children are listed below the photos. Here is a photo taken about 1913 with the three youngest children.
