Elisha Smallwood that I was looking for earlier. Elisha and Nancy were the parents of James D. Smallwood who I have found was born around 1830 in Baldwin Co., GA. James married Mary O'Neill (or O'Neal-I have found records using both spellings), and they had the following children: George W., Mary J., John Nathan (my g-grandfather, and Sarah V. James and Mary Smallwood are buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Avera, GA. They lived in Glascock County, GA. most of the time they were raising their children, and James was a millwright and farmer.

George married Mary Fannie LANDRUM. Mary was born on 30 Aug 1847. She died on 30 Jun 1931 in McDufe Co., GA.

On ancestry.com I found several newspaper listings from Iowa referencing a company called Smallwood & Brunk. In the 1910 census I see that George C. Brunk was living two doors away from Lafayette Smallwood and several doors away from Andrew. I just wondered if one of the Smallwoods was in business with George Brunk.
