42. Jemima FOWLER (Jeremiah , Thomas ) was born on 1 Feb 1758 in Prince Georges Co, MD. She died on 27 Sep 1814 in Crestwood, St. Louis Co., MO.

Email from descendant (Maryetta):
Jeremiah had a daughter who married John Sappington in Cecil co md. He
met Jemima when he was on leave. We believe he was a friend of one of her
brothers. You will always find both families living near from Md on West.
When they left Prince Georges, co they were in Brooke Co W. Va for awhile.
sometimes called Ohio Co. from there they went to Madison Co Ky. Jemima and
John Sappington had about 17 kids and came to St. louis in 1803 or 04 just
as soon as the La Purchase was completed. He had said he would not live
under French rule. He sent his sons to scout out land and traded barrells of
whiskey to indians for land. There is an area of St Louis named Sappington.
They are buried in the Sappington Cemetery there. They were friends with
Daniel Boone and their first son's house has been taken apart and numbered
and reconstructed on the Boone estate in Defiance Mo. Their second son was
Thomas and his house has been restored by the city of St. Louis and is open
for tour. I have been through it several times. Thomas named one of his
daughters Drucilla.

Jemima married John "Jack" SAPPINGTON on 29 Jan 1781 in Prince Georges Co, MD. John was born on 3 Sep 1743 in Sasafras River, Cecil Co, Md. He died on 10 Sep 1815 in Crestwood, St. Louis Co, Mo.
