Melvin Clarence Brooks was born at Stoneville, Nov 16, 1928. Hespent his childhood in Sturgis. He went to Colorado ten years ago. OnMay 10, 1948 he was married to Mary K. Mehringer.
He had been ill for nine months. Prior to that time he had beenemployed by the Vandium Co. of Urvan, Colorado.
He is survived by his wife, one son Michael, one daughter Janice,three sisters, Faola Stoddard, Grand Junction, CO; Mrs. Hope LaDuke andMrs. Lela Brooks, Colorado Springs, CO; his mother and father, Mr. andMrs. Maynard Brooks, Grand Junction, CO; and uncle Clarence Allen, Opaland his grandmother, Mrs. Nella Shade, Sturgis.
