19. Edgar Clarence ALLEN

Clarence never knew his Dad. Mother took the 2 children to South Dakotain1908/9 and married William Bacon. She told the children that Edgardied in a milk wagon accident.

EA found him in 1985!!! Through a very nice woman named Evelyn who spentabout 5 hours of volunteer work at the Moline Library.

Edgar C. was born 18 May 1880 in Exira, Audubon co. IA.

1903-Married Clara Nella Krittenbrink at her parents home in Atlantic,Cass co IA. EA has original Mrg. certificate. M.E. Church pastor.

Social Security # 348-05-8654

Salesman, Truck driver, Millwright, Lab worker, assembler, Mechanic,custodian & caretaker.

Buried in Riverside Cemetery, "north" on right side of Anna in the lastof 3 graves bought by Anna (his Mother) in 1919, in lot # 79 CG.Unmarked grave, no headstone for him or Anna. Moline, IL.

Cemetery records filled out by step-daughter, Mrs. George (Madge M.)Bodish of RR 1 Box 201, Waldorf, MD. (EA wrote to her in 1988, but noresponse. Letter not returned.)

Survivers included the above step-daughter, sisters Mrs. Ada Staak of LA,CA; Mrs Mabel Robinson of Zanesville, OH and a brother R.E. Allen ofKansas City, MO. He is Rex. I'm sure the step-daughter knew nothing ofClarence and Blanche. In cemetery records, she listed that Edgar andher mother were married June 6, 1903 in Atlantic, IA. EA has originalmrg license for Edgar & Nella for 25 June 1903, Atlantic, Cass co. IA.

Buried: May 1962, Atlantic, Cass, IA. Son, Clarence took her body backby train to her family plot. We have pictures of the graves.
