Immigrated to US in1834.

"History of Muskingum County, pub 1892. A very good story that I (EA)have. Excerpts are:

George and Elizabveth (Tragust) Taylor, natives of Hampshire county,England. Parents of George were Thomas and Lidia (Mainard) Taylor, theywere also of English nativity. George Taylor emigrated to this countryin 1835, and ten weeks after starting, landed in Zanesville. Hepurchased a farm in Union township and the following year located on it.There he and wife received their final summons on the same day. Hischildren were all born in England and were principally reared there.The members of this family all belonged to the Church of England. Thefather, George, was at one time a whig but later became a democrat. Hewas a carpenter by trade, but after coming to this country he engaged inagricultural pursuits which he carried on the remainder of his days.Daughter Elizabeth, single and sixty years old, died within five days ofher father, 92, and mother, 90, and all are buried at the Norwichgraveyard by Union Twp, Muskingum county where they had lived from 1834until their deaths in Jan 1978.
