Milan Standard Obituary - Dec. 4, 1947 - Edd Rush of Wichita, KS, but formerly of this neighborhood passed away Monday night, Nov. 24th, at his home in Wichita. He has been in poor health for some time. Billie Fassett, who is attending school at Liberty, MO., attended the funeral service of his grandfather, which was held at Wichita. Edd was laid to rest in the Wichita Cemetery.

Milan Standard, 18 Dec 1947 - Edward Lincoln Rush, age 73, 314 West 21st, passed away Monday evening in a local hospital following an extended illness. He was born November 14, 1874 in Grundy County, MO and had been a resident of Wichita for the past 16 years, having moved here from his former residence at Harris, MO. Survivors include his widow Mrs. Myrtle Rush, two daughters, Mrs. Billie Polk of the home address; Mrs. Dollie Fassett, Sauselito, CA; and a son, Burl Rush of Aurora, CO; ten grand children and 4 great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of the Cochran mortuary at 2:30 Friday afternoon with Rev. C.E. Thompson and Rev. E. L. Mulleneaux of the Pentecost church officiating. Burial will be in the Kechi Cemetary. (From the Wichita Beacon).
