Seeking any info on my grandfather Solomon C. Imler born 12-4-1868 in Nevada (Vernon Co) MO and/ or his family. He was a very secretive man & we only recently discovered his family on an 1870 Nevada census record. Parents: David Imler est DOB 1829-30 PA & Ellen (Garland?) est DOB 1834 VA; Siblings: Thomas P. est DOB 1854 OH, Emma est DOB 1858 IL, John W. est DOB 1860 MO, & Daniel est DOB 1865 KS. Some of the family were still living in Nevada as late as 1923. I have located the following marriage licenses & records for the family in Nevada: Solomon married Wilda Maxwell 12-26-1887; Jennie Perry 4-21-1900; Effie Campbell Timbers (died 1913) 11-18-1905; Jennie Terrel 8-21-1914 (div. 12-28-1914); Amanda E. Powers 9-16-1916; married Mary Wilson in McCurtain Co., OK 12-19-1922. Thomas Imler married Nancy C. Baker 10-28-1875, had a son Eddy 1877, div. 2-3-1906; Alice Jones 4-8-1887; Minnie ? 12-28-1896, div. 12-18-1897; Annie Roundtree 12-1-1898 & 2-21-1906, had a daughter named Glessie Mae 5-1900; Glesse Mae married Henry Maupin 7-13-1919; I would appreciate any information on any of this family. I was looking through my Mom's old address book. In the back I found this info. Emma (Smallwood) Griffith. Weighed 165 pounds at age 65. She was 5' 7'' tall. Born Feb.25, 1873. She worked at the State Hospital in Nevada, Mo from Oct. 19, 1930 until she died.

Emma daughter: Ethel (Griffith) Devore and Luther Devore's son Bill died July 31, 1974. Bill's wife Minnie died Jan. 11, 1972.
They lived in Junction City, KS. I am not sure of the year, but I Believe it was in the 1950's they had a big explosion of gas in their house. It made the paper in Iowa. A real tragedy. I will keep looking through all my papers. I may find a clipping.
