EA, find the descrepancy on his birth. Clarence wrote in 1993 versionthat William was born about March 32, 1771 in Northern Ireland. He alsodoesn't mention Sarah Lee, aka Sally.

Left with his Uncle Hugh McCullough in County Down, Ire. in 1774because he had Smallpox, while his parents and siblings returned toScotland, the ship sunk in a storm. No survivors.

Clarence Jacobs, P O Box 205, Beaver, Oregon & P. J. McCullough,Cincinnati, OH who has the McCullough Family Bible say-- the above, alsothat at age 18 William came to Philadelphia, working his way over on acattle ship. He married Sarah Lee and moved to Mifflin co. PA. Sarahdied soon after the birth of their son, John S. in 1800.
William then married Mary Jane Calhoun, following her death, he marriedNancy Nelson. According to family history, William and Nancy lived onthe same farm all their
lives and are buried in the Old Bethel Cemetery near Bremen.
