Ellen Jane MOONEY

Notes for ELLEN JANE MOONEY:
Ellen Jane Mooney was born in Ohio, the daughter of Martha (?) Mooney. Ellen is said to have had a brother, Irvin Mooney. Irvin and Ellen's parents were both born in Pennsylvania about 1813 according to a census report, 1880 census of Sumner County, Kansas, and living with the family of A Gorham.

In June 1998 while on a trip to Marion County, Kansas, James L. Holloway also visited the Conway Springs, Kansas Cemetery and found Ellen J. (Mooney) Holloway's headstone fallen over and broken. He ordered a new headstone replacement for his great grandmother. Perhaps it will be good for another hundred years or so.
