Mrs. Margaret Kritenbrink, a highly respected woman of Marion Twp. diedatthe home of her son, Henry Kritenbrink, near St. Paul Sunday, Mar. 7,1909, at 6 a.m., aged 77 yrs, 3months and 3 days, of la grippe.
Deceased was born in Westphalen, Germany, and came to America in 1862andsettled on a farm in Marion twp where she has lived ever since. Herhusband preceded her to the grave in 1892. She is survived by four sons,J. H. Kritenbrink of Omaha, NE, B.A. Kritenbrink of South Omaha, Dr. J.C.
Kritenbrink, of Chicago and Henry B.Kritenbrink of St. Paul; also fourdaughters; Sr. M. Juliana O
SD of Racine, WI; Mrs. T. J. Griffen of Neola, IA; Mrs. Jos. Rueter' andMrs. Jos. Umthum; both of near St. Paul. (Jos. is short for Joseph)Mrs. Kritenbrink was a faithful and consistent member of St. JamesCatholicchurch at St. Paul and also of the Rosary Society. She was atrue Christian woman, a kind and loving mother and was much beloved andhighly esteemed by all who knew her and will be mourned by many relativesand friends.
The funeral services were held at St. James church, at St. Paul, Wedmorning at10 a.m. Rev. J.A. Rangger officiated. The impressive serviceswere in spite of the bad roads and disagreeable weather, largelyattended. Interment was made beside the remains of her husband, in theCatholic cem.

( This lady was Virgie Nichting's grandmother. Her husband wasHenryKritenbrink, a brother of our grandfather John Krittenbrink who cameto OK in 1900)
