Note: moved from Quiroquy to the Silas Smith home place in Woodville,NC in 1831 to send his children to the Bertie Union Academy. According to his son's (Charles) "Recollections of Woodville", "He later moved to the place at the fork of the road leading to Hills and Taylors [Ferry} Road, living there until his death in 1843, leaving his wife and seven children." His grave was moved from behind his old homeplace in Indian Woods in 1998 to St. Frances Methodist Cemetery in Lewiston-Woodville.
