(AKA Dorcas), daughter of John Cook and Martha E. , was born in Sep 1862-1863 in Missouri.

1870 Missouri Census: John Cook, Martha E. and their children; James R. (19), Sarah C.915), James R. (14), Eli (12), Catherwood (7), Dorcas (8) and Lincoln (5) were living in the township of Center in Hickory County. John was a farmer with property valued at $1,300 and personal property worth $1,000.
1880 Missouri Census: Irenas Taylor and Dora were living in the Deerfield Township of Vernon. Their first son, Walter, was five months old. Irenas' brother, Wood (age 17 - Potter), was living with them. Dora's age was listed as 17. Dora would turn 18 in September. Dora listed her parents' birthstate as Tennessee; the same as the 1900 Census. Irenas listed his parents' birthstate as Tennessee, also. Irenas was a potter. 1910 Missouri Census: Dora and George were still living in Deerfield Township, Vernon County. Their daughter, Hattie, was living with them. Although in previous censuses, each had listed specific states for their parents' birth locations, they listed United States or Unknown.
Dora married Irenas Taylor , son of Ire Taylor and Sarah A. w/o Ire Taylor , about 1879 in Missouri. Irenas was born about 1855 in Missouri.

1870 Ohio Census: George was still living with his parents at the age of 24. He was a farmer, working on the family farm. 1900 Missouri Census: George and Dora lived in Deerfield Township, Vernon County with Dora's three boys from a previous marriage (Irenas Taylor) and their five children they had together. They had been married for 12 years at the time of the census. George was a day laborer.

Note: Charles was a farmer in Elk Creek, Nebraska from 1910 until he and the family left for Oregon in 1936. He then worked for a central heating business as a steam engineer. 1920 Nebraska Census: Charles and Sara were living in Todd Creek Precinct, Johnson County, with their four children, William (age 12), Lorry (age 10), Pauline (age 8) and Kenneth (age 2). They were renting a home there. Draftee for World War I: Charles was on a list of potential draftees for World War I from Todd Creek, Precinct 1, Johnson County. His name appeared in the June 16, 1917 issue of the Tecumseh Chieftain newspaper, under the headline, "Official Report of Registration in Johnson County, Nebraska on June 5".
