7496. Constant (DABNEY) D'AUBIGNE was born in 1584 in Pons, Saintogne, France . He married Ann MARCHANT on 8 Oct 1608 in France. [Parents]
Constant, Baron de Surimeau, adhered to his Catholic faith, and was denounced by his father, Theodore Agrippa. Constant secured his father's estates. This conflicts with the Dabney claim of being Huguenots in Virginia. Some documents show that for some unknown crime Constant was imprisoned in France, and later exiled to Martinique. He later acquired some colonial interests in the New World.
